Dr. Sonia Postiglione graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. There she completed a double major in Biology and Psychology paving her way into the field of visual sciences where she had the opportunity to do research at the Ophthalmology department at the Hospital for Sick Children.
Dr. Postiglione completed her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Waterloo in 1998. While there, she obtained the sun optic award for Contact Lens Fitting and completed an externship in Ocular Disease at the Vitreoretinal Foundation in Memphis TN. She worked under the supervision of Dr. Dennis Matthews, a world renowned Optometrist who is recognized throughout the profession for his contributions in medical Glaucoma and Neuro-Optometry.
Upon graduating, Dr. Postiglione practiced in the city of Aurora for eight years before opening her own practice in 2006, right here in King City.
Dr. Postiglione is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists, The Canadian Association of Optometrists and the College of Optometrists of Ontario.
Dr. Natalie Potkidis earned a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2023, after graduating from York University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her studies at the University of Waterloo, Dr. Potkidis served as the Communication & Marketing Director for the Low Vision Interest Group. Here she encountered many low vision patients and learned about their experiences, inspiring her to complete her advanced rotation in this field at the School. She completed externships in Niagara Falls and Woodstock, Ontario where she had the opportunity to develop her passions, including contact lens fittings, myopia control and vision therapy. When she is not at the office, you can find Dr. Potkidis hiking, practicing yoga or playing the piano! Dr. Potkidis is excited to join the team and provide eye care to the King City area.
Dr. Lorenzo Taurasi completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo and Bachelor of Science at McMaster University. His clinical training includes an ocular disease rotation in Miami, Florida, where he gained valuable experience managing complex eye conditions. He also completed a rotation in Toronto under the direct mentorship of a seasoned optometrist with over 40 years of experience.
Dr. Taurasi is passionate about having a high standard for eye care and has a special interest in diagnosing and managing dry eye disease. He welcomes patients of all ages and is committed to providing tailored, collaborative care to meet each patient’s unique needs.
Deeply committed to community service, Dr. Taurasi, who grew up in the Greater Toronto Area, has provided care to underserved populations throughout the region and remains dedicated to continuing this important work. His strong ties to the community inspire his mission to make high-quality, accessible eye care available to all.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Taurasi enjoys making pizza, exploring his Italian heritage through food, and spending time with his dog Tito.
